Just Got My “Moluntha” 7'3" 4wt.

So I just purchased a Mad River Rod Co. 7'3"4wt “Moluntha”. this thing is a piece of art. Truly remarkable craftsmanship. Casted it in late November on the Seneca and its now my favorite rod of my quiver. Clint's attention to detail and design is awesome! Sam Carleton and Marty Barnes are looking to order a couple rods from Clint. Marty took my 7'3" to the Catskills late fall and loved it.
Can't wait to bust it out next spring for some Letort action.

Just finished booking the big trip to The Copper this summer Sam and I are furiously tying flies for the big Rainbows.
Cheers Dave

Hi Dave, I met Clint Bova back in 2000 in Elora Ontario. He came up for one of those Rodmakers Gatherings in Fergus I believe. I actually met him on the Grand River and he was fishing with one of his 7' bamboo fly rods up in Elora on The Grand River. As I remember he was really cleaning up. His rod caught my eye and he was the only guy in a crowd of anglers fishing with a bamboo rod. He was definitely outfishing everyone around him. I approached him and I noticed he was carrying what looked like a cinnamin bun in his net!. I started laughing, he said he gets hungry while fishing. He's definitely a funny guy. He let me try his rod and it casted beautifully. I noticed while I was casting he was eating his bun and while his mouth was full he was murrmering to me watch my ten o'clock and slow my cast down. Hilarious. He reminds me of a older version of Mowgli. I've wanted one of his rods ever since. As he left to go upriver he smiled and said “keep it drag free”,
being an avid dry fly guy I knew what he meant.
cheers Shayne

Yes I've recently seen some of his rods and they are exquisite, and people who own them seem to really like them. Hopefully when this damn recession is over I can muster up the change for one of Clint Bova's rods.
I wanna meet this guy he sounds like a character.
