2013 Fishing Conditions
The Fishing in West Virginia so far this summer has been spotty at best. Actually the North East has been downright frustrating in general this year even private water! Flood stage conditions, high winds, run off, and drastic temperature changes have been keeping us on the edge of our seats. This year is the first season I have experienced in my entire fishing timeline that I can remember exponential and numerous fly fishing roadblocks when it comes to environmental conditions. I was telling my best fishing buddy Sam that I need to distract myself from fishing this year or else I would be taking up Golf! He looked at me and said “wow Dave you must be pretty hungry for some good fishing” yes, yes I am.
So I am officially packing up and heading West today for a long stint in Colorado and Montana. I'm going to take a “North Eastern Hiatus” and go Westward ho. Car was packed last night and have Hoppers and cane rod in hand. Hopefully my next blog entry will not be about visiting a Golf pro shop and picking up a first set of clubs!
